Turning Twenty Again –  Beginner Quilt Class (3 sessions)


Three part beginners quilt class. This will be a very basic class for you to learn beginning quilt techniques.

3 Sessions – Saturdays 9:00 – 12:00, October 27th, November 3rd, and November 17th.

Fabric for this class must be purchased at The Broken Needle

Class 1 will be a discussion of colors, quilting techniques, picking out your fabric and discussing how to cut your fabric.

Homework:  cutting fabric for next class

Class 2 will show you how to sew your pieces together and plenty of time in class to work on your project.

We will also discuss basting techniques for a quilt sandwich, quilting techniques and how to sew a binding.

Homework –sewing blocks together and sewing binding strip.

Class 3 will address questions and issues, if needed complete sewing quilt top and basting quilt sandwich. We will discuss quilting techniques and attaching binding

To complete this class you will need:

Turning Twenty pattern

Sewing machine with pedal and cords

¼ inch foot or ability to sew ¼ inch seams

Thread to match fabric

Rotary mat, cutter & ruler


Pins to baste or 505 Basting Spray
